The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South East zone, Hon. Goodluck Chidiebere Egwu has stated that the problem being faced by the country bothers mainly on the issue of leadership challenge.
Disclosing this in a statement, the South East PDP boss stressed that there’s no comparison between how the nation’s economy was handled when the PDP was the ruling Party in the Country compared to how it is under the present APC led adminstration.
He enjoined Nigerians to be patient as the PDP was gearing up to take over the seat of power come 2027.
He said: “I want to use the opportunity to thank the South East, Nigerians and Ebonyi people. I believe that very soon that the Party will be strengthened to become the only strong opposition party in this country. PDP has its structure in every ward in this country.
“We need to know that the South East is PDP and it is the only Party that can deal with the issue of hunger, starvation and insecurity facing Nigerians.
“Irrespective of the little challenges, we equally want to say that INEC has said that it will only work with those who operate with the rule of law and the Constitution of the Federal Republic while we wait for the Court to take care of other processes, we are already on the right track.
“Nobody should go with the noise being made by Saraki. The reason is that the Judge who gave the judgement, the exparte order for the purported convention is aware that he lacks the jurisdiction to compel the federal high court to compel INEC to monitor or supervise the purported convention, which ended up in charade because we are all aware that INEC didn’t supervise the convention.
“We are also aware that the Court told them not to have such gathering. That purported convention is an early Christmas Party. So, on behalf of the PDP in the South East, I want to use this opportunity to tell the South East and Ebonyi to continue to celebrate Christmas in a very peaceful way, believing that the Party will bounce back to what it used to be.
“Both the rich and the poor are crying. We urge them to be patient that things will surely get better and we are going to bounce back and take over the Party and the seat of power so that Nigerians will smile again.
“The issue of hunger, insecurity, banditry and terrorism will be addressed and no one will compare when PDP was in power and when APC is now in power. The difference is very clear. Things are getting worse in the country because of the leadership of the country. “
