Sole Administrator, National Assembly Oversight Committees, are at the Expense of the Common Patrimony of Rivers People – Eze

Date:

…Commends Rivers Women for Shunning Ibas’ Wife

…Likens their Courage to that of Aba Women in 1929

The Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze Eze has said that the whole idea of emergency rule and particularly the unlawful suspension of the Governor were targeted at the common patrimony of Rivers people.

In a statement made available to the media, Eze wondered the rationale behind the setting up of committees by the National Assembly to oversee the unlawful activities of the illegal Sole Administrator when in effect, they should at the moment be agitating for an end to the charade, which clearly represents a crass desecration of the sacred laws and particularly, given that Nigerians have shown clear resentment over the  barrage of illegality.

The APC chief noted that the whole gimmick is centred on power play targeted at currying undue political advantage ahead of 2027 with the common patrimony of Rivers people at risk’.

He said, It has become glaring to doubters that President Tinubu never unlawfully suspended the Governor because of insecurity as he claimed,   but to capture the politics of Rivers State and plunge the common patrimony of the people.

“If the President had an atom of sincerity, he should have taken drastic measure to restore order in states like Edo, Benue, Zamafara, Plateau, Borno etc.

“Following the unfortunate pronouncement by the Supreme Court, directing the Central Bank of Nigeria to hold on due funds due to Rivers State against all known laws as contained in the constitution, one would have loved to see a situation where the unlawful activities of the illegal Sole Administrator are funded by the Federal Government as an appointee of the President.

“But the President, again, broke the law, snubbed our constitution by ordering that Rivers monies be released to his appointees. This level of rascality is unimaginable, though the president is a rascal.

“Further, to partake in the plundering of the State funds, our confused National Assembly have followed up by setting up two unnecessary Committees populated by mostly cronies of the Senate President and his counterpart in the House of Representatives.

“The allowances of these over forty members will be paid from the common patrimony of the people of Rivers State just to stunt the development of the state cripple efforts to rival Lagos, as it is, Akwa Ibom has taken over as after Lagos in terms of development, yet loons like the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike are happy.

“Probably, very soon in the plot to liquidate the over N250Billion left behind by Sim Fubara, the Presidency will set up a committee of 20 persons that will run and manage the affairs of Rivers State with the Sole Administrator.

“They heard Governor Sim Fubara left over 250 billion naira in Government House and they want to go collect and share all within themselves before calling him to come back”

“This is the condition that greedy Nyesom Wike wants for the State that have given him more than he merits. Posterity will be fair and swift in its judgement against Wike and all those behind the present sad State of things in Rivers State where an imposter governs the State against the duly elected Governor of the State.”

Eze commended the wonderful women of Rivers State who staged a walk out against the wife of the illegal Administrator.

“Their action proves to the world that Rivers State is not a conquered State; that the state still has people who can stand against injustice against the State.

“The walkout has nothing to do with either Senator Tinubu the First Lady but a demonstration against the wickedness been meted out against Rivers State and her people” Eze noted.

He said “what these great women did reminds me of the event of 1929 when the British were in charge of Nigeria. The foreigners told the women they would have to start paying a tax to run their stalls. The women staged a traditional protest involving dancing and chanting to fight against the tax being imposed. Their protest was successful and they did not have to pay the tax and I am very convinced that with what these women have done Governor Sim Fubara will soon be restored back to his office without any further hesitation”.
